What does a professional organiser do?

Twenty-first century life can be overwhelming. The busier we get, the less time we have to look after our physical environment. Houses become cluttered and chaotic. People dread opening their cupboards, and cannot find things when they need them. Disorganised space costs precious time, puts pressure on relationships and leads to unnecessary further consumption.

Many of us wouldn’t think twice about seeking the help of a cleaner, counsellor, nutritionist or trainer to improve our sense of wellbeing. But we find it harder to acknowledge that sorting out mess is not everybody’s strength. As a Lifestyle Organiser, I love doing these jobs that many people dread. I can help you arrange any aspect of your physical space to leave you feeling happier, healthier and more in control of your life on a day-to-day basis.

Declutter

Whether it’s a kitchen cupboard, a bedroom or a whole house, I’ll help you sort through your possessions, get rid of the things you don’t need, and free up valuable space in your life.

Where appropriate, I will work with you to find a second home for your unwanted items, donating them to local charities to minimise environmental impact.

Organise

Your home works best when everything in it has a place. I’ll work with you to organise your kids’ toy boxes, rearrange your kitchen, transform your wardrobe or file your paperwork in a way that is practical  and serves your needs, while giving you a greater sense of pride and comfort in your home.

Design

Perhaps you have recently moved or extended your property, or you’re looking to revive a tired space.

I’ll create a unique design based on your personal requirements and tailor-made to fit your environment.

Initially I had reservations about calling in Sophie, I thought it was something I could do myself. But it’s been brilliant. Not only has she managed to make our kitchen cupboards feel spacious and we no longer risk life and limb opening the cupboard doors. More importantly, she has provided us with inspiration and ideas that we wouldn’t have thought of and given us the motivation to get the job done!
